Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
HotSauce is operated by Punch!, Company No. 07631764, registered in England, VAT Registration No. 114 2271 59. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact us at data@punchb2b.com.
If you use the HotSauce platform, your account data is covered by the platform terms.
Where a HotSauce customer uploads data or connects their CRM to our platform, that customer is the controller of that data and their own privacy policy applies; we process it only on their instructions.
2. What We Collect On Our Website
- Forms: name, work email, company and job title when you request a demo, download content or contact us. Without these we cannot respond to you.
- Cookies and analytics: IP address, device and browser data and pages viewed. See section 6.
3. If You Are Named In A HotSauce Signal
HotSauce reads public information about organisations and turns it into buying signals for business customers. Some of that information names people in a professional capacity.
- What we hold: your name, job title, employer, and professional events such as an appointment, a move between firms, or an entry in a public professional register.
- Where it comes from: company websites and announcements, job postings, trade and local press, regulatory filings, public registers and published board papers, plus specialist data providers.
- Why: to tell our customers what is happening at an organisation. We do not sell contact details or contact you ourselves.
- Lawful basis: legitimate interests, ours and our customers', in understanding business activity from public professional information.
- Who receives it: HotSauce customers, as part of signals about your employer.
You can object at any time by emailing data@punchb2b.com, and we will stop using your data for signals unless we have compelling grounds to continue.
4. How We Use Website Data
- Responding to enquiries and demo requests: legitimate interests.
- Sending marketing emails to business contacts: legitimate interests, or consent where required. Unsubscribe at any time.
- Running and improving the website: legitimate interests.
- Non-essential cookies and analytics: consent.
5. Sharing And Transfers
We do not sell personal data. We share it with service providers who run our website, CRM, email and analytics on our behalf, with advisers or authorities where the law requires, and with a buyer if our business is sold.
Some of these providers are outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we protect it with an adequacy decision. Ask us for a copy.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the website, and analytics and marketing cookies only with your consent, which we ask for through our cookie banner. These cookies are provided by HubSpot, which processes the data on our behalf. Change your choice at any time in [cookie settings]. Our [cookie policy] lists each cookie, its purpose and how long it lasts.
7. How Long We Keep Data
Enquiry and marketing data until you unsubscribe. Signal data naming individuals: 12 months from the event, or until you object.
8. Your Rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email data@punchb2b.com and we will respond within one month.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or your local data protection authority.
